Johns Hopkins researchers discover that drops in the blood ’s potassium levels by diuretics usually prescribed for high blood pressure disease could be why people on those drugs are developing Type Two Diabetes. These drugs helpfully accelerate loss of fluids, but unfortunately deplete important chemicals in the body as well.
