New Recommendations For Evaluating Cardiovascular Risk In Diabetes Medications

The United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has recommended that manufacturers developing new drugs for Type Two Diabetes provide evidence that their therapy will not increase the risk of heart attack or other cardiovascular events. The new recommendations are part of a new guideline for industry which applies to all Diabetes treatments currently being developed. “We need to better understand the safety of these new antidiabetes drugs.”
