Study: Sugar Is As Addictive As Cocaine, Heroin
A new clinical study has shown that sugar may be just as addictive as drugs such as heroin and cocaine. Sugar acts on dopamine in the brain, similar to the way that hard drugs do. Scientists say that not everyone is capable of being “addicted” to sugar, but those who are will find foods with sugar very difficult to give up.
